Shreeya Gounder is a senior in high school who loves to swim, read, sing, try new foods, ski, and travel the world. She loves giving back to her community and the Ollee Foundation is one way to do that. Shreeya truly hopes that one day the foundation will impact the lives of young children all around the world.
Kavya Gounder is an eighth grader who likes to swim, read, bake bread, and play the violin . She has a true passion for helping people. Kavya knows that the foundation will be able to reach and improve the lives of many children, and hopes to change things for the better. As Mother Theresa once said, "I alone cannot change the world, but I can cast a stone across the waters to create many ripples".
Sisters, Shreeya Gounder and Kavya Gounder began the Ollee Foundation when they visited the Samagra Shiksha Block Resource Centre, Nambiyur, and the Government School for the Deaf, Erode, in 2017.
The Ollee Foundation strives for the empowerment of differently-abled children in the underprivileged rural communities of South India.
The Ollee Foundation supports schools so that the children can lead a independent self sustained life . We provide educational tools, therapy equipment, and improve the facilities that the children grow, learn, and live in.
The Ollee Foundation is currently working with two schools; Samagra Shiksha Block Resource Centre, Nambiyur, and the Government School for the Deaf, Erode. We plan to expand its support to similar schools in the area.
